3. Start Blogging

I use blogging to host my niche sites. Wordpress is my favourite. Why? Because, you don’t need web design skills and the big G likes blogs. Make sure you add content at least 3 times a week whilst building backlinks slowly and watch your ranking soar.

Getting visitors to your website is perhaps the hardest aspect of online marketing. However, I have provided you with a few steps you should take to generate traffic to your website.

1. Target The Right Keyword Phrases

John Reese said that keyword research can make or break a whole project, and his dead right. How can you expect to get traffic if you’ve not done proper keyword research first? Its the one thing you MUST do! It doesn’t have to be expensive, in fact you can do your keyword research using free tools such as the Google Keyword Tool and SEO Book. These tools will show you rough estimates of what’s being searched online monthly. That’s one aspect of keyword research the other is relevancy. Ensure that you’re targeting LSI keyword phrases. Google will rank your site higher in the SERPS if you use related keyword phrases in your content to your main keyword phrase, rather than just the frequency of your main keyword phrase.

2. Build Backlinks Organically

Yes, that’s right. Build backlinks and you’ll get the word about your site out there. The more backlinks you have on high page rank sites, the more traffic you’ll get, and a better website ranking. Google ranks sites on their popularity. If the crawler notices that your site has a lot of other websites linking to your website then it will reward you with a higher page rank. This can be quite time consuming. If your website is new, build links slowly. Don’t just create 1000 backlinks in a few days, Google will quickly sandbox your site if you do that. The key to building backlinks is consistency. Do it systematically every single day. Your backlink must be in the form of an anchor link like this:

This is a debate many marketers have. Think of it this way- Seo is for branding, and Pay Per Click is for advertising. It depends on what your priorities are. But, for today let’s concentrate on the benefits of Pay Per Click.

Instant Traffic

Imagine right now, that you can get to the top of Google in an instant. It’s really possible, providing you target the right keyword phrase, outbid your competitors and your ad and website converts.
